this is serious: sit down together to watch soap operas. many people learn basic English from the soaps, as the spoken language is very close to real world English. My mother-in-law did that when she moved in with us and after only a year or so, is quite able to manage English.Advice on how to help an international student from China learn english?
speak English with her everyday, and you can use body language to communicate. you'd better learn some Chinese. it's interesting and easy to learn
