Advice for two adults traveling to Seattle for the first time?

My wife %26amp; I are traveling to Seattle for a week. We are looking for inside suggestions from anyone very familiar Seattle or the surrouding area on things to do.

We are already aware of the obvious tourist places (i.e. zoo, aquarium, space needle, etc) We are hoping for any inside tips, or other cool less-heard-of places in the area. However, any advice at all would be appreciated.

We would like to make this interesting, so we are open to any ideas. Thanks!Advice for two adults traveling to Seattle for the first time?
Another great way to get on the water is to rent a rowboat (or sailboat if you know how to sail) on Lake Union at the Center for Wooden boats. Great views of the city, peek into some of the houseboat communities on Lake Union. This is one of my favorite things to recommend to out-of towners.

There are also some interesting food based walking tours of Pike Place Market and downtown Seattle area. I haven't been on any of them myself, but based on where the different tours stop to sample, I'd be looking at the tours offered by SavorSeattle and Seattle Food Tours.

You can also make reservations yourself to tour Theo chocolates in Fremont - the chocolate maker actually roasts the chocolate beans themselves and is all organic. Samples at the end too!

Let us know when you are coming - labor day weekend is known for the Bumbershoot festival at Seattle Center, and there are festivals nearly every weekend through the summer.Advice for two adults traveling to Seattle for the first time?
If you like water and are sort of scientific, (haha) go to the locks. It has a beautiful park and you can learn about the fish ladder, etc. It's in Ballard, a sort of suburb of seattle. You should go to the restaurant Beni Hana's (Don't know how to spell it) but it's by the 5th Ave Theatre and is sort of a Seattle tradition... you might even see some famous people! If you can get some tickets, go see the theatre. Go on a sail boat, you can get a tour of the city. Another good tourist thing is to Ride The Duck, which is a bus-like thing which goes on land and water, so you can get a tour of both the land and water! Have fun, Seattle is a beautiful city! Check out the suburb cities... they often have nice coasts.
Alki Beach. Located in West Seattle. Beautiful place...def check it out.

Gas Works Park. An interesting view of Seattle. But still very pretty :)

Try to take a canoe out on Lake Washington. I know there is a place located at the University of Washington Football Stadium...well close to it. Whidbey Island. It's not far from Seattle, and a gorgeous place.

That's all I can think of at the moment. Besides the obvious :) Have fun
