Any advice to prevent urine from coming out of a boy's diaper?

I am having difficulty preventing my son from spraying urine out of his diaper. It gets all over his clothes and the carpets. I know the nurse tell parents to point his penis down before fastening the diaper so that the urine doesn't comes out but I am unable to do that with my boy. His penis is only about the size of my finger nail so it will not point in a direction. It's pretty much just upright. I use Pampers Swaddlers. Anyone have any other methods to prevent urine this problem? Thanks.Any advice to prevent urine from coming out of a boy's diaper?
You may try the next size so that gives him a little extra room. But, before you go out and buy new pampers try holding his gasper goo with one hand and fasten the pamper with the other. Or, you may fasten the pamper pull it while supporting him and give him a little shake on his bottom so that it falls a little better in the pamper. Good luck! My son did this a couple of times and I use Swaddles as well. I picked him up and I was like what 's dripping and I could not figure out where this water came from. I'm looking at the ceiling to see if there was a leak or if my cup had a whole in it. But, it was my little man. I needed to adjust the position and then he was nice and dry! Take Care. Buy the next size bigger in diapers.
My suggestion is to change his diaper more often. I have a boy also, bigger penis and 5 weeks old, but he doesnt have that problem. I also use the same diapers you do. Just put it on tighter and change more often.

You could try one of those plastic underwear things that go over cloth diapers and regular underwear.
We had the exact same problem at night. He would wake up in the morning (after 12 hours of sleeping on his belly) and would be soaked from pee. We asked the doctor about it and she suggested using Pampers Cruisers one size bigger. It has worked for us and we were also using swaddlers (b/c they said ';Baby Dry';). We also make sure he has a fresh diaper before he goes to bed and the minute he wakes up in the morning.





Some moms use two diapers, but I'm not sure how that works exactly.
Try a different brand of diapers to see if that helps.. and get one specifically with the band around the waist that is elasticy. I use Huggies and they are that way, very elastic like around the waist so they aren't loose when their tummies are empty.
Try a bigger size, and you need to change more often.
change his diaper at LEAST Every 3 hours.. that will definatly help a lot

You might try holding his penis down with one hand while pulling the diaper over with the other and then holding it in place from the outside of the diaper while you fasten maybe just a little bit tighter than you normally do. If this does not work, try cloth diapers at least until your little man grows a little more.
rubber underwear over top the diaper....like the ones that people use when thir child is in cloth diapers....Pampers Swaddlers are the best choice..good job.
Try going up a size and make sure that you fold the top of the diaper down and inwards to help prevent leaks.
I never was told to position my son's penis in any particular direction... We used swaddlers/cruisers through his whole time in diapers. I would try changing the size of diaper you are using either a size smaller or larger... Just make sure you have a snug fit at waist and legs...you only need about a fingers worth of room in there. Also with the swaddlers you can overlap the flaps to make it fit snugger for fit.


Be checking his diaper frequently and as soon as you have any squish in the front it's time for a change. I know diapers can handle quite a bit of fluid but it doesn't absorb as fast if there is a previous wee in it already.
i know it sounds icky, but hold it down while you are pulling the diaper over him, and peek in the leg hole and see where it goes...thats what i had to do with my son, hes a little less than well-endowded... sometimes i would have to stick my finger in the diaper and repoint it down...thats the best I have for you!
My son could never wear pampers swaddlers. Every time he did his diaper would leak all over whoever was holding him. We switched to Huggies and never had any more trouble. Maybe you should just try another brand of diapers. Each brand is made just a little different.
go up a size and u prolly can point it down my son's pee pee goes back a lil in the fat of his pubis area so what I do is I push back a lil on the area around his penis and then I point it down.
